Electric radiators make ideal heating solutions for conservatories – here are the three most significant reasons why:

1. Unlike radiators in central heating systems, electric radiators operate independently. This is desirable when you’re heating a conservatory because the room has very different heating needs to the rest of the building. For instance, you may not want to use the conservatory all year round, so you will not want to waste energy pushing heat into your conservatory radiators unless you intend to use the room. Central heating systems do not offer the necessary controllability to manage the complex heating needs of your conservatory at the same time as the rest of the house. Unless you control your conservatory heating independently, the conservatory will either be under-heated or the rest of your house will be heated to an unnecessarily high degree.

2. Electric radiators also make an excellent retro fitting option that can even be fitted DIY. If you’re adding a conservatory onto an existing house, extending your central heating system can be a messy, expensive and time-consuming. Installing electric radiators, on the other hand, is a quick and easy process that won’t cost you a penny. You will already have had your electric circuits extended into the conservatory to fit lighting and plug sockets for your appliances.

3. Electric radiators are available with a wide range of heating elements, some of which are particularly suitable for heating conservatories because they push out heat at a high intensity which can help compensate for the fast rate of heat loss through the glass walls. Our Haverland Inerzia Electric Radiators are designed for rooms with high ceilings, but they work equally well in conservatories where their ceramic stone heating elements provide an energy efficient means of maintaining comfortable temperatures.
